Billy’s Wish is a registered charity that was set up following the tragic death of a young, innocent man in the early hours of 6th November 2011.
Billy Dove was a victim of knife crime, and his father pledged to do all he could to prevent any other family having to suffer the anguish the way Billy’s family and friends have endured.
In 2012, Paul Dove set up Billy’s Wish with family members and friends, to educate young people about the dangers of knife crime, and to promote positive youth activity in order to steer teenagers away from a gang culture.
In 2013 the Billy’s Wish Anti Knife Crime Education Programme was launched. Since then, Hertfordshire Police are working with the charity to promote the Programme in all schools across Hertfordshire, and a complete new Learning Experience is being introduced.
Please take a look through our website to see what we have achieved and how we can help to teach children from the age of 10 against the dangers of knife crime and learn many life skills to keep them safe throughout their lives.
We have more great plans for the future to help young people make positive choices.
