Working to stamp out knife crime through education and positive activity

Welcome to Billy’s Wish

Billy’s Wish is an anti-knife crime education charity that was set up following the tragic death of Billy Dove, a young, innocent man, in the early hours of 6th November 2011.

We have developed an education programme for upper Key Stage 2 and Secondary schools which focus on choices, consequences and facts about knife crime.

Billy’s Story

Billy was popular and a good friend, he’d  never been in trouble – but tragically, he was an innocent victim of knife crime.

Crucial Crew Logo

Crucial Crew is an innovative and interactive way of delivering personal and safety education messages to Year 6 children (10/11 year olds), Billy’s Wish is proud to be working with Crucial Crew Hertfordshire. We run up to 20 ten-minute sessions in a day, reaching around 120 children a day over one week or two week periods.

It’s a very intense, brilliant opportunity to make an impact with many children in small groups.

Thank you for sharing something you clearly feel passionate about.

Can I just say how perfect that was? I need to take this message back to school.

We've had children recently planning fights: it's so relevant.
