Year 7 pupils at The Astley Cooper School will be working on the Billy’s Wish Anti Knife Crime Programme after Easter. Today, on what would have been Billy Dove’s 25th birthday, the young people took part in assemblies based on the “Safe Adults” section of the Programme to prepare them for the “Consequences” stage that they will be studying soon.
While the Safe Adults film was originally designed for primary (year 6) pupils, it works really well for year 7 students as an introduction to the harder hitting Y7 and Y8 films.
Thanks to all at The Astley Cooper School who embraced the Education Programme from the very first time staff saw the films, 20 months ago.
