Year 6 pupils at Belswains Primary School were the first to hear our message since the start of lockdown – and what a positive experience it was!
The children listened respectfully to Billy’s story, were actively engaged in discussions and asked questions that showed they were thinking seriously about the topic.
It’s alot to take on board at this age, especially after we have all be so isolated. These young people will be heading off to secondary school and becoming much more independent – we’ve given them food for thought about peer pressure, who to listen to, how they can keep themselves and others safe, and what to do if they have a problem too big to deal with themselves.
Billy’s Wish are very grateful for the opportunity to come in and share our message with them.
