An absolutely incredible $8600 USD was raised at the weekend in Dallas! This brings the total John has raised for us over the years in Dallas to nearly $50,000. We are blown away!

This is the eighth year that John Eggleton and his team have run a golf day for Billy’s Wish and what an amazing event it was! Bigger and better than ever with a record amount raised and with 80 players, despite restrictions due to the coronavirus.

There’s no big group shot this year – but these photos look like a good record of a great day!

We are so very grateful to everyone involved – supporting our aims to educate young people about the dangers of knife crime by raising awareness of what we do, incredible fundraising, which helps to keep the charity going, and importantly: keeping Billy’s memory alive.

Don Shannonn was presented with the Paul Devine Spirit Award, sponsored by Darren Heffernan and Davey Devlin.

Don has been recognised for his spirit, enthusiasm and volunteer work for Billy’s Wish Dallas golf event. He’s played the pipes in memory of Billy Dove and Paul Devine every year, even when we can’t stay for the tournament.

The success of the day is down to the efforts and pure generosity of the players and the sponsors – and so many more people!

Let’s start with a special mention for Emma Moriarty, Corrine Conmee and Katie Trues – thank you so much for everything you did on the day – the energy and enthusiasm you put into running the raffle, sales and registration is a huge part of why we made so much money.

We also offer our thanks to Chris Drysdale and his staff at Twin Creeks Golf Club for helping make this event so successful! There is a list of our sponsors below the photos, and incredibly generous personal donations were also made, including by Carl Pigg, Kevin Freeman, Tom O’Mahony, Brian and Mandy Jones…. Thank you so much!

It was truly sad that people couldn’t make it from England – but maybe next year will make up for it?!

Here are some highlights of the day!
