Billy’s Wish is delighted to announce that Katharine Harper has joined Billy’s Wish as our Education Officer.
Katharine is an experienced primary school teacher and has been a school governor, so brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise about education.
Billy’s Wish is super excited, because Katharine will be able to help us liaise with schools and ensure that the Billy’s Wish Education Experience is fully utilised in both Primary & Secondary Schools.
Katharine, has already been reviewing and consulting on what we have achieved so far and said the following about this new opportunity:
I am very pleased to now be more involved with Billy’s Wish, having supported from the side lines since the charity was set up (I’ve twice taken part in the St Albans Half marathon, and jumped out of a plane to raise money and awareness). This education programme is extremely important, and in my new role I hope to continue the great work Billy’s Wish has done so far and to get this message out to as many children as possible.
Katharine, has lived in Hemel Hempstead since 2001, with her husband and their three children who have grown up here. While the men in the family are avid cricketers – art is Katharine’s biggest passion, and in her spare time she loves sketching, drawing and photography.
Our primary aim at Billy’s Wish, is helping empower young people so they know how to stay safe. Please join us in welcoming Katharine onboard to help us achieve this.
